Lots of poker forums were started around the year 2000 to initially discuss all card games like Rummy and Kalooki. Forums have since progressed to offering more Poker focused content, including Cardschat's handy list of Poker sites for U.S players which is useful for Americans. The progression from playing small-time card games like Gin Rummy to playing online Poker is a natural one; seeing as the stakes are raised there is more action to be had and there is far more money to be won. Many more online poker portals have launched in recent years, with the Pokersites.com website being one of the more established ones with listings of many of the best places to play online poker.
